SOIL OPENERS as well as other agricultural tools are often cast in high chrome steel. High chrome steel has a very good abrasion resistance, but still swears at a relatively fast rate in sandy soils. SPRS has sourced a unique tungsten carbide based hardsurfacing product (often called "liquid carbide"). This product can be applied on high chrome steel parts. It enables to significantly extend the life of high chrome parts and also helps maintain a constant seeding depth.
